I am very concerned about this story. I also remember reports of pneumonic plague in China, a few months ago, and wonder if this another version of the same illness.

The number of cases (real or suspected) in Hong Kong is around 40. Other countries (Singapore and South Korea) have reported cases. However, the number of cases in Wuhan remains at 59 and 1 death. No other China city has reported any cases.
Hong Kong officials are supposed to fly to Wuhan this week to get more information and do some testing. They are only going to stay overnight.
One suspects that Chinese officials are withholding information. But it can not be proven right now.

How concerned should we be? If we had the will to screen everyone coming into this country for illness not at all. Now it appears we are all expected to embrace 3rd world diseases as evidence of our compassion.

This virus will kill everyone in the world just like the last 15 scare-porn viruses did.
