I'm pretty sure it's more than that. Off the top of my head, we have eleven supercarriers (plus one going through testing/seatrials), which is what you're likely thinking of. Once you start including carriers of the type that other countries have (smaller ones, vtol carriers, helicopter carriers, etc) these US have way more than just 24.
