uh, maybe in today's well nourished Americans of western European descent, but not in areas with malnutrition or where people don't have a genetic resistance.
when I worked in rural Africa, the mortality in malnourished children was high: And many who survived died a week to a month later from viral croup or tuberculosis, since measles causes a suppression of the immune system.
Haven’t read the comments here, yet.
I don’t understand how I and all of my elementary school friends managed to live after getting the measles in the late 1940s, but the people in Africa are having all of these deaths from the same disease.
