When asked a series of “Yes and No” questions by Lisa Kennedy on her Fox Business show... Chafee faltered. Refused to even address her “can American citizens own AR-15s”... he changed the subject to deficits and debt... proving he’s no Libertarian, he’s still just a weaselly Liberaltarian. Also showing the Left will infiltrate and seek to take over all areas of political thinking. ALL must bow and worship the Leftist idol!

At least he’s someone people have heard of. That’s important to the LP if you look at who they have nominated recerntly i.e Gov. Gary Johnson.
The other choice might be Rep. Justin Amash, the independent congressman from Michigan. He could dent Trump victory there.

Let him take the Worlds Smallest Political Quiz and see where he comes out. If he can't even come out unequivocally for the 2nd Amendment, he's no "libertarian". Personally, I'm fairly libertarian minded in my political leanings, though I think the official open borders position of the LP is lunacy.
