The Black News Channel has delayed its launch until Black History Month, the network announced last week.
Having been previously slated to launch on Nov. 15 and then Jan. 6, the minority-owned network aimed at an African-American audience will instead hit the airwaves on Feb. 10, after initial audience projections proved to be larger than originally expected, the channel said.
“Black History Month is an appropriate time to launch the Black News Channel,” Bob Brillante, co-founder and CEO for BNC shared. “We are committed to make sure that when our viewers tune in they are witness to a quality viewing experience.”
According to BNC co-founder J.C. Watts, a former Republican congressman, the network will be available in over 70 million homes and devices at launch. …

J C Watt was an outstanding Congressman and a great person as an American. I think he’s an Oklahoma Native. I hope he’s got something going that will inform the black community the truth not the Liberal plantation owners BS. He should have been the first black President.

Me too. He was a great voice for conservatives then left the congress to be with his family and follow his Religous beliefs. I wanted him to run for the senate in OK. Hope he stayed true to his early beliefs. The black community could use the truth.

I wish him well. He has a wide open field to put out quality programming whatever the race he approaches it from.
I was going to make fun of it ala “Black Jeopardy” but saw that it was headed by Watts....whatever happened to his political career? Seemed so promising.
Co-founded by Watts and a white guy with a broadcast background, Bob Brilliante. Majority owned by Pakistani American Shad Khan, billionaire owner of the NFL Jaguars and lukewarm Trump supporter. I’m assuming much Khan’s “reserved support” for Trump is based on his personal financial interests. Looks like one of their first on air talents will be Larry Elders.
Hopefully they will be a sane, legitimate outlet for conservative and moderate black voices to offset the existing outlets that will call them Uncle Toms.

Another channel lumped into our cable bill we are paying for and we cannot remove and that we dont care to watch. BET, Korean, Japanese, Spanish channels with not enough viewers to support it on its own so we have too.
