I remember being at some event where nametags were provided. The woman checking in near me proudly stated she needed no nametag, since “everyone knew her.” I had no idea who she was, and when I asked a few other attendees, neither did they. It became a private joke as the day went on, and at the end of the day, we still didn’t know who she was.
