The woman who fatally shot a home intruder in suburban Tampa last week was pregnant and used an AR-15 to kill the man, according to a news report.
Jeremy King of Lithia told Bay News 9 that his wife, who is eight months pregnant, was in a back bedroom Wednesday when two men burst in at about 9 p.m. and began brutally beating King, demanding money and grabbing his 11-year-old daughter.
The woman told the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office that she grabbed the weapon and shot one of the suspects once. That man was dead in a nearby ditch by the time deputies arrived.
Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it, King said. [My wife] evened the playing field and kept them from killing me," King said.
King was taken to a hospital but was listed in stable condition. He told the TV station that he suffered "a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head in the attack.
There seems to be almost a media blackout about the hearings and the VCDL/GOA/NRA 2nd Amendment turnout, except for one article from southwest VA (WDBJ7.com) I have found so far.
Interestingly enough, I couldn't find anything about the hearings, but they had the above article prominently posted on the website, but the article is from Florida, dated November 1, 2019 and it's about an 8 month pregnant woman who lawfully used an AR-15 to defend her home and family.
Frankly, I'm stunned that the PilotOnline would post a pro 2nd Amendment news story with everything else going on in Virginia.
Shame on her!
Didn’t she know she had a duty to die?

Sorry. Two guys break in at 9 pm into a home where people are not educated? Come on.
Yep, however the 2 guys that broke in ended up getting a permanent education.
The Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office said in a statement the residence is believed to have been targeted due to criminal activity happening inside the home.
Uh-oh. She used a scarygun.
"Within days, Child Protective Services took Kings children into state custody. His infant son, delivered by his wife, was also removed. (WOW!?!?)
They said I created an unsafe environment for my children and that it's my fault the home intruders came there, King said after a custody hearing at the Hillsborough County Courthouse.
King, who does have a criminal record for marijuana possession, strongly denies he is involved in any current criminal activity.
I feel like I've been victimized here and now my children are still being victimized, he said.
Several custody hearings related to this case are scheduled for next month."
Scary gun in the house. Scary gun and children in the same house are not acceptable. /sarc
Interesting and unsurprising that this happened three months ago yet no one knows abut it.
Good guys (or gals)1, bad guys 0..Lithia is a rural area of Hillsborough County.
“Scary gun in the house. Scary gun and children in the same house are not acceptable. /sarc”

Child removed from home while police investigate drug connections.
Hey, nice. I’ve been looking for a new “It’s because I’m Black Isn’t It” meme for awhile. Mind if I borrow it?
Didn’t know it was about drugs...Lithia is proof that drugs are all over in small towns and big cities...
Help yourself. I got it from somewhere too.
Sounds like a win.
