He DIDN’T say that.

Listen carefully to what he actually says in the video.

He is not making that claim himself, he is quoting an absurd and insulting “finding” from a fake news poll, which had made that claim about his supporters in order to suggest that Trump supporters were blind followers. Taken in context, it was obvious he thought it was an absurd notion and an insult to his followers.

I remember a similar thing with John Lennon saying the Beatles were more popular than God. People took it out of context - as if he was boasting - comparing himself favorably to God - he wasn’t saying that at all! He was really saying the opposite. It was a comment on how shallow and commercial media has become, when rock stars get more media attention than God.

It s the same with President Trump - I remember hearing it in full context and it was obviously not a boast - he thought it was absurd and insulting what the poll had said about his supporters.
