If Democrats think their abuse of the GOP will increase their chances of getting what they want, they’re badly mistaken.
They unified the Republican Party around the President. They’ve all but made it impossible for him to be removed from office.

I agree, and I think there are a lot of fair minded people out there who don’t bother to vote. I suspect we’re going to see a rally behind Trump that Nancy didn’t see coming.
And as someone (maybe you!) pointed out on another thread, a demented House Speaker meddling in Senate affairs might be the one thing that pisses off even the biggest Trump-haters in the Senate enough to acquit him in a two-minute trial.
