Terry Gross is a terrible interviewer and always tries to score points.

Although it is EXTREMELY vulgar, the lead singer for KISS completely turned her inside out in an interview that must be available on YouTube. The more disgusting he got, the smarmier and more condescending she got, exposing that she really had no sense of self-dignity at all.

One that is NOT vulgar but still a great listen is when she interviews the ladies from the UK's "What Not to Wear", and they turn the tables on her, suggesting that she doesn't wear skirts because she is afraid of her own femininity. Because they have British accents, she can't out-smarm or out-condescend them.

Fresh Air is not live. There is no reason they could not have added the music later except for incompetence. I have engineered probably hundreds of radio interviews with celebrities of one grade or another. This does not sound to me like an unreasonable request, as they go.
