Uhhhh wtf do you think is going to happen without fossil fuels Greta? Gosh, might vastly more people have to use trains instead? You got one thing wrong. The Germans don’t wait eighty years between bouts of mass insanity. The rotten 68er generation which has been the driving force in Germany since at least the early 80s has long been a bunch of, freeloading, soft on communism, America-hating, money-grubbing (will gladly pocket any tyrant’s blood money), limpwristed, pacifist, socialist, Gaia-worshipping, globalist scum.

As Goethe observed, Germans are fine individually but a disaster collectively.......and I say this as someone who has a lot of German ancestors, who lived there twice and who speaks the language.

This is why Germans often make great Americans, but lousy Germans.

The ticket you buy is good for a specific date. If you miss the train you had planned on you just take the next one (and maybe end up without a seat...). And believe me, DB will sell each and every ticket they possibly can...:)
