I’d be more insulted by that gaudy frame.
You have to get up very close to make out any detail on the painting. Well, he wanted to rock the boat, and he did.

Mexicans can get very sensitive when their national icons are mocked. Many years ago some comedian got in hot water when he referred to ‘Bombedero Juárez’ (fireman Juárez) instead of using ‘Don Benito Juárez’.
