Dunno how to incorporate number of games into %.
Not much you can do. Originally, I counted everybody for every game in a week whether they picked or not. In other words, if you missed a week, you went 0-16. If you missed your Thursday night pick, you started the week at 0-1. If you joined the party in week 3, you basically joined at 0-48.
Impy told me I was being too harsh. So I updated my chart to not penalize anybody's percentage for missing a pick. In the event of a tie in the number of total wins, the winner is the one with the higher percentage. So if I pick two games and get one right and you pick one game and get one right, we're tied 1 to 1, but you get the tiebreaker for having 100% to my 50%.
Obviously, being late to the party is going to make it very difficult or nearly impossible to take the whole shebang and win the numerous prizes and accolades that go with it.
All that said, if you know the grand prize is out of reach, you can still measure yourself up against the percentages of others to see how you compare. In the past couple of weeks, I've been including a totals line that contains the cumulative group average (currently about .618). If I joined late I might at least try to measure myself against this number and try to stay at or above it.
Anyhoo...it's Impy's thread and I'm just throwing my cumulative chart out there for the fun of it. In the end, Impy decides who wins the car, gets the date with belly-button chick, and receives the coveted invite to the White House.

Anyhoo...it's Impy's thread... Correct, it is Impy's thread and he began running it about 2 1/2 years ago when my health failed and I asked him to take it over. I was unable due to illness to continue the NFL Live Thread I had done for about a dozen years beforehand--
So, excuse me for rising up from the grave to say figuring the result of who picks the best by your 'pure' percentage method without the games picked counting at all is a total crock of horse manure about a mile high!
Perhaps you can offer up your 'pure' percentage method to Chuck & Nancy so they will have a fact based basis for their impeachment folly.

You're excused.
I have no method. I just plug in the numbers and sort as requested.
I completely agree. Somebody who picks 1 out of 2 correct can't compare to somebody who picks 50 out of 100 correct.
I'm lost.
Be well!

Sorry there is confusion.
Total wins (correct picks) remains our primary contest.
I include a *separate* percentage championship (if indeed the same person does not win both) to give people who started playing later in the year or missed a week here or there have something to shoot for. I thought this was a good idea, no?
Missed picks don’t count towards the total for the % championship. But you must pick all the games in the weeks you do play no cherry picking easy games to call or just playing week 17 or something!
Lately with (accidental) missed picks I’ve been giving people the betting favorites, for Thursday usually or if I don’t catch a miss in time and let the person know they missed one. A couple times people made Thursday picks and forgot to do the rest so they only have 1 game played that week.
Playoffs is a separate contest (total wins only).
Anyway I thank mmichaels1970 for keeping an ongoing count as I neglected to do so and I can’t make a spreadsheet to save my life but I will check the final numbers. ;)
