More and more Americans see sports as the bread & circuses for the masses while their elites sell out our country; unfortunately it took the hyperpoliticization of sports to make that clear to many.

I can’t remember the last time anyone brought up sports in a discussion; maybe the last Super Bowl? Hardworking people have little time for this BS - and particularly the idiots that make a living from it.

thinking about getting a t shirt that says
“Sport is the opiate for the masses”
that’s exactly what it is. the powers that be don’t want you thinking about what they are doing. they want you to be reading about how the patriots cheated this time.

Truth!

I used to routinely discuss pro sports with my colleagues at work. The latest NBA or NFL news or games or whatever.

Not anymore. In the corporate world, controversial subjects like politics or religion are avoided. Since pro-sports is now an anti-American divisive political hot potatoe - we don't talk about team sports anymore.
