My last sailboat was destroyed by a hurricane in 2016, but I had not used LORAN for ages. I was using GPS navigation.
We have GPS on our boat along with the chart plotter. Works well for us.
Then again, we were cruising down Skull Creek behind Hilton Head and GPS had us 100ft to the west on land. Depth finder had us in 25ft of water. As the GPS straightened itself out, it was interesting to watch the boat moving sideways on the chart as we went forward.
