One should avoid court if at all possible.

The House is likely going to censure and not impeach based on the polling data.

Go for a trial.
Schitt, the fake whistleblower and Biden’s corrupt son will
be called to testify. They will all commit perjury numerous
times. Bring it on.

Dems have been boxed in to lose-lose situation.

If the house votes for impeachment, then the Senate will rip the DNC / Shift / Biden a new one during their investigation. The GOP will not be so hamstrung. This will REALLY piss off the voters and expose the Dem corruption. Might even lead to criminal investigations. Pelosi wants to avoid this as she knows that this will drag the Dem candidates into DC and keep them off the campaign trail. Also will open up the Obama/Biden corruption investigation.

If the house does not vote for impeachment, the rabid left will howl and will primary the sitting house critters. Both scenarios will likely see the house revert to the GOP. Pelosi does not want to loose the house so she has to protect those representatives that are vulnerable (Trump country).

The only “thread the needle” option that I see available to the Dems is to hold off on the vote for Impeachment until after the primaries / super tuesday on March 3rd. This would prevent the vulnerable dems from being primaried. Then vote on Impeachment and allow the vulnerable Dems to not support the articles and allow the safe dems to support. This is then unlikely to pass the house as there would not be the 218 votes required. That stops the articles from going to the senate so, no investigations.

That path would allow the Dem leadership to claim that they did all that they could but didn’t have enough votes due to GOP election pressure or some such. That then is spun to the Dem base as .... see, this is why we need your support. The problem is that Super tuesday is the top of March.

So I expect to see some delay tactics. Schft to keep his committee going until just before Xmass break. The the Judicary to take up in Mid Jan. First with some procedural delays, and then with some closed door witness testimony, and then some open testimony and then some time to draft the articles. THEN forward to the house for vote late Feb.

Pelosi schedules house vote after super tuesday.

Just my crystal ball ....

I was just thinking that this morning. This is a win win situation right now for Trump.

The only thing the Democrats can do at this point is to just not vote on it, and schiff can say “while we’re not having a vote we cannot exonerate him”

like dumbass meuller did.

You’re exactly right. As I said, they are scared to death of Discovery.

They’ll continue to do what they can to hamper the president in any and all ways until he leaves the White House. They are pure evil.

President Trump wants his day in court (Senate) and wants a trial.

I doubt that very much.

The Senate is not bound by any judicial rules, and an impeachment trial is not a legal proceeding of the sort that we commonly expect from court proceedings. There are no "Rules-of-Evidence". There is no Right-to-Discovery. There is no right to cross-examination of witnesses. There is no "Due-Process". The Senate is not a Court of Law.

There is only a 2/3 vote for conviction required from the members present. That could be 10 Democrats voting for conviction when 90 other Senators are stuck in a snow storm and cannot get to the chamber in time for the vote.

Or 20 Republican RINOS simply fail to show up on the day of the vote. I am certain that the backroom deals and offers are under negotiation right now. The only restraint is the assessment of whether the RINOS could actually collect what is being offered.

I would hope the Senate immediately dismisses any impeachment charges from the House as unfounded. That should end the matter right there.

The longer this goes on, the more dangerous it will get.

While I disagree with some of your analysis, it's as sound as anything else out there that passes the sniff test. I have doubts this will stretch all the way out to Super Tuesday. Rationale: the TV ratings for "Impeachment Inquiry" flat-out were terrible. The Dems know they've lost on messaging. Only their most hard-core supporters watched. Most of them were the ones applauding Adam Schiff-for-Brains at the end.

Pelosi for all her batshit crazy nuttery, isn't dumb enough to let this go to the Senate. My own opinion is they already know they've lost enough of the blue-dog Democrats that they don't have enough to impeach.

Proof: President Trump this morning on Fox & Friends saying he wants an impeachment trial.

PDJT is goading the Democrats into voting for Impeachment to force the Senate trial. Will they hold the vote? I have my doubts. Will that vote be successful if they do? I really have my doubts.

I expect this to all be done and over with by Christmas and it dying via being displaced by some horror/tragedy elsewhere. (Which of course President Trump will likely get blamed for, ROFL!!!)

This will be a win either way for POTUS.
He will characterize a censure as a victory and mock Schiff incessantly, OR the Senate will eviscerate the crooked Dims in a trial.
