I don't consider his actions as mere stupidity. He came into office knowing his beliefs were diametrically opposed to his constituents.

I consider him to be much worse than stupid. I consider him to be treasonous. Even toward the end when we were begging him to enforce the law by sealing the borders. His response was to chastise us for not being "compassionate conservatives."

He wasn't stupid. Stupid would be to not know the difference. He knew exactly what he was doing.
