I know that some people on this forum believe that California doesn't have the right to restrict the purchase of vehicles to a short list as they have. Note, though, that this is the State of California and sub-units thereof that are restricting themselves. This does not affect the majority of California car-buyers -- they are free to purchase whatever is available that meets the emission standards, just as they have for past double-handful of years.
It's the ultimate buyer of the products, the State government, that are boycotting companies that don't recognize California's right to dictate emission standards.
As long as California government doesn't extend the boycott to other buyers (like California citizens) I don't see a problem.

Not being a citizen of the state, I really dont care what they do; but I feel that we arent building the wall in the right location.
