The 2018 Red Sox were so dominant you barely even noticed how dominant they were. They breezed through the American League East flying past a 100-win Yankees team like it was nothing and then floored it through the postseason, losing only three games in blasting past the Yankees, Astros and Dodgers on their way to a World Series championship. The Red Soxs 108 wins were the most since the Mariners won 116 games in 2001, but Boston finished it off with a title. This is probably the greatest Red Sox team of all time
and we shouldnt let what happened the next season make us lose sight of that.

“Team to avoid the best known scandal of the last decade.”
Bad season last year and ticket prices
are going up again
(Queen spoof by me)
We missed the playoffs my friend
Cause we kept on losing, in the end
We’re not the champions, we missed the playoffs
Up go our prices ‘cause we’re not the
champions...
...of the Worrrrrld
it’s true. they were simply unstoppable.
One could argue for the run San Franciscos went on on the first half. Cant say any one of those teams in year outperformed that Sox team. Otherwise every team that won was a single year champion. Sox in 2018 are as good a selection as anyone would be. Kansas City, Cubs or Astros winning seasons could be seen as just as good. (Current controversy aside).
Glory is fleeting. Their baseball operations head has been fired, and Manager Alex Cora may be in jeopardy.
