We must strive to build communities that truly serve, support, and protect our veterans from the very first moment they return to civilian life.

SERVING, SUPPORTING, AND PROTECTING OUR VETERANS: President Donald J. Trump has made it a priority to support the American veterans who courageously protected our country.

PROVIDING QUALITY CARE: President Trump continues working tirelessly to improve healthcare quality for veterans and end the tragedy of veteran suicide.

HONORING OUR HEROES AT HOME: President Trump is ensuring that our veterans receive the resources they need to return to civilian life with dignity and security.

I got an extensive letter from the VA a month or two ago stating our medical records could now be released without our permission and even to (red flag) local police. I haven’t read anything about this on Freerepublic. I’m just trying to verify with other veterans that they got this same letter and why is there no mention of it here. Why no mention of it in this particular article? Does this “letter” tie into the article about Google and medical records today? https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3793188/posts

Nov. 11, 2019, Fairfax, Va.—Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement in support of the MERIT Act by U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) and Sen. David Perdue (R-Ga.):

“The Veteran’s Administration can fire incompetent, lazy or recalcitrant employees due to 2017 reforms passed by Congress and signed by President Trump in the aftermath of a scandal where the VA health care system was letting veterans die on the streets rather than provide care.

“The result of changes in the laws governing VA personnel are clear as more than 8,000 VA employees have been fired, demoted or suspended since President Trump took office. The only question is why shouldn’t this same type of reform be enacted throughout the federal government?
