America has voted. And the winner is … Donald Trump.
I’m not referring to the 2020 presidential election (not yet), but to the 28th and weirdest, wackiest season of the popular ABC-TV reality contest, “Dancing With the Stars.’’
On Monday night, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, a man bearing two left feet, a prodigious belly and a slew of insane outfits, stumbled his way into surviving Week 8. He goofily edged ever closer to the winner’s circle, despite the judges’ fervent efforts to boogie him into disgrace.

I expect Trump to be re-elected. And Democrats only bright spot last night was VA.

She’s right. The smart people know what’s best for us but we Deplorables keep overruling them.
The TV station figured having a popular vote involved gets more people to watch the show. Happens all the time with sports stars.
My wife likes the show and is pretty pissed that good dancers have to leave and Spicer stays on - I guess he is pretty lousy.
I told her “I’m sure the liberals are even madder. We can remind them that this is why we don’t have pure Democracy - i.e. mob rule - in America. Perhaps makes the case for having the Electoral College as well.”
Well Sean Spicer did win without Russian help!

I love American electoral politics. Just when I think it can’t be more entertaining, we have Sean Spicer stepping on the toes of the stars. Jim Belushi, watch out.

On AFHV, he once stated his preference for socialized medicine. I guess he was tallying in his mind the medical costs of all those people hit in the balls.

Obviously Sean Spicer self identifies as a Dancer and the Tolerant Left cannot accept Sean’s decision.

Lookit, I am a great devotee to DWTS, not that I have a bunch of righteous pride over that fact.
And let’s not hesitate, Sean Spicer is a terrible dancer.
But DWTS always has several things, as I enumerate:
-one of the bachelors or bachelorettes from that ABC series “The Bachelor(ette).
-a football player
-a very old former star
-some sort of political figure
-a former childhood star
They have had people win that were terrible dancers before. Many made their way to the top three that weren’t good.
It’s part of their schtick. It keeps up the interest.
And let’s not forget that President Trump publicly asked people to vote for Spicer, at least as I hear. But again, it’s part of their schtick. You got a president talking up your show, you are a success.
Spicer is not going to win this thing. He might make the top three, maybe even second place.
But he’s got a friendly disposition, wears some pretty outrageous outfits with a good sense of humor, he gets nostalgic when mourning a family death.
He’s well liked! He dances like an elephant but smiling the whole time.
Winning on DWTS, at least up to the last minute, is as much about personality as dancing talent.
Finally, Christine Brinkley’s daughter replaced her when the former super model allegedly fractured her ankle and so conveniently her young, beautiful and agile daughter was able to take her place.
She was a good dancer, Sailor (who names their kid this?) Brinkley but she got thrown off early on.
Americans don’t much like cheaters.
I’m done.
