While visiting from California last year, took a detour returning from Jamestown to Washington, went to Virginia Diner in Wakefield. Their southern specialties buffet recommended by Food Network. Really enjoyed it but more to the point I learned that Wakefield is the self-proclaimed Peanut Capital of Virginia. Having bought nuts from there I’ll never go back to those floor sweepings that Planters calls peanuts.

I wasn’t all that into Paul Newman type movies back then.
I always got the impression Paul was the poor man’s version Marlon Brando. Interesting without being strange.

I was more into In The Heat of The Night with Sidney Poitier, In Like Flint, with James Coburn, The Happiest Millionaire with Fred MacMurray, Up The Down Staircase with Sandy Dennis.
