In MOST cases, if a company needs a government “incentive” to make something, there probably is not much demand for it.

I can only assume that Hunter Biden owns the electric car company.
They know they can’t compete against the gas-powered cars. Most people can’t afford an electric car, and even many that can can’t afford the $10,000+ battery when it goes kaput.
So they have to create the demand artificially.
