A careful monitoring of the media today confirms that Rep. Cummings died from "complications arising from long-standing ill health."
As you wouldn't accept that as a cause of death for a loved one, as a life insurance underwriter would never accept those words to approve a payout, and as a police detective would never accept those inappropriate and vague words from a coroner... What do they mean?

Our revered hero who did everything - made so many friends, spoke out, was so corurageous, crossed the aisle, helped people of color according to all the whites in congress - basically did everything but improve the lives of the people he represented...

My understanding is that he died from an infection caused by knee replacement surgery, and that this infection is very common in men after such a surgery.

As I read this morning, he accomplished so much that there really isn’t any need for Congress to meet any longer; clean water, healthcare, education - it’s all done! He did it all!
But some may ask - what did he do for Baltimore?
Cut the attendance in Congress down to about every other month and we’ll get along fine without a full time congress.

Oh! WOW - I didn’t know that. We had a friend who has been fighting infection from two knee replacements going on 3 years, I would say. He goes to the hospital over and over and they remove the replacements - treat him over and over with antibiotics and nothing works...goes home only to go back again to the hospital.
