Monica Lewinsky says she's looking for a job.

No longer shying away from the spotlight, two decades after her reputation was destroyed in the Clinton impeachment scandal, Lewinsky spoke to NBC's Savannah Guthrie Wednesday in an interview tied to National Bullying Prevention Month.

Lewinsky, 46, told Guthrie she's looking for a "proper career" and would like to continue her work as a storyteller.(snip)

While running for president in 2016, Hillary Clinton -- who famously stood by her husband during the scandal -- said he should not have resigned after the scandal with Lewinsky, whom she called an "adult."

Donna Rice (of Gary Hart and “Monkey Business” infamy) was able to have a normal life after her notoriety died down...but she did that by shunning the spotlight and walking away from her past. Monica has never done that.

How about Freepers showing a little class and giving her a little sympathy? She was as much a victim of the Clintons as Paula Jones, albeit a little stupid at this point in her life.

I depart from all these comments. Monica was 22 years old, a vulnerable, gullible girl who believed the President felt the same way for her as she did for him. He was a user, manipulator, narcissist who conned her so that he could use her physically. Then Hillary sent her minions to discredit her, making her out to be a bimbo, which is not true, she thought Billy lover her, and that the relationship was real. He was a predator. But Hillary may be worse. She knew what the score was, knew what Bill had done, and decided to destroy Monica to save Bill, and her own political career. The whole thing has made life very tough on Monica, she did not deserve this in the least. But just remember, Hillary willingly gave it to her.

I agree, please let's have a little compassion for this poor woman who was used and abused by probably the most evil and manipulative political power couple in American history.

I knew this thread would be trashing her. What a horrible thing she had to go through, her life was in danger, all because as a 21 year old, she made a bad decision to have an affair with an older man (married and president).

She has been trashed in jokes for 20 years.

She deserves a normal life. She deserves not to be a joke. She told the truth under oath too.

I hope she finds a successful career. I wish people could get over the jokes. At the time the whole thing was hilarious, but it’s so long ago. Let her enjoy a life she wants.

I agree she was taken advantage of and paid a huge price. Not fair IMO.

But she's very lucky that Her Heinousness, only tried to discredit her, or she might have been another statistic to add to the body count.

Hopefully she will find something to do.

I would suggest finding Jesus. HE knows she is a valuable, precious soul, and not ruined because of the mistake she made.

If the older married man she was conned into having an affair with had been anyone other than pres Clinton-and if he had been married to anyone but that rabid bitch Hillary, Monica would have been paid to dry her tears and go away quietly-instead she was attacked and trashed by Hillary in public-she did not deserve that for being young and clueless-I made a bad choice as a dumb little country girl-but the guy wasn’t rich or famous, so I was not dragged over the coals...
