Would really like to know the troop casualties for Obama’s “good war” in Afghanistan. After GWB left and Barrack took over, media suspended the daily body count.

The main threat of such weapons is their use as blackmail. By possessing them it gives them greater latitude to use terrorism and blackmail to get what they want without fear of retaliation should the murder be traced back to them. Without nukes, they have to try to make everything they do look as though their traditional enemies or some third party did it, but with nukes in the arsenal they need not be as careful...though they still are somewhat vulnerable to economic pressure, but even there time is on their side and nukes give a country a great deal of time. They can consider bolder acts of terrorism or even invade weaker neighbors knowing that there will be no military retaliation.
