Those weapons, one senior official said, were now essentially Erdogan’s hostages. To fly them out of Incirlik would be to mark the de facto end of the Turkish-American alliance. To keep them there, though, is to perpetuate a nuclear vulnerability that should have been eliminated years ago.
“I think this is a first — a country with U.S. nuclear weapons stationed in it literally firing artillery at US forces,” Jeffrey Lewis of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies wrote last week.

We should be equally opposed to Erdogan AND Assad. And Turkey in NATO and Turkey as ally needs serious reconsideration. Turkey needs to booted from NATO, it needs to be disarmed.

We should have plans to destroy the Turk ready to act at a declaration of war from Congress and full funding.
Our alliance has been faced with what to do with Turkey and we have sat on our hands since 1973. This latest is a tiny blip compared to past Turkish actions.
I still recommend negotiating new alliances and then pulling the plug altogether on NATO.

I say quietly remove the nukes. Then make a gradual withdrawal of US personnel from Turkey. Turkey is slowly changing from a secular republic to an Islamic state. At this point I don’t care if Russia did take them over!

I read another article citing the move to Romania, too. That article said these nukes are B61 gravity bombs with yields up to 170KT, way beyond a “tactical nuke.”
