Would be good to ask those affected whether they’d think “manual clearing” would be a good idea now.
Here in the Mark Twain National Forest, they allow timber harvesting, $20 firewood permits that allow you to take anything that’s laying on the ground(people follow the logging) and controlled burns. Seems to work.
