Wick and I were dead certain it was Annette while Skip demanded it was Karen.
Annette passed on April 8, 2013, the tragic victim of multiple sclerosis.
Well, with Karen's death, all our choices are finally mute--
"Now it's time... to say goodbye."
And that, my fellow aged campers, is just so damn sad.

I pretty much grew up with these kids. Simpler times.
“Wick and I were dead certain it was Annette”
My thought, as well. Whenever I go to Orlando...(which is several times a year) all of the “Disney” cues that I see take me back to those simpler times...until I get stuck in the Orlando traffic!
Just finished a 3 day visit to Disneyland, first time ever. Have been to WDW several times, and have a trip planned for April next year.
The magic still works for me.
Annette passed a few years ago in 2013:

My friend loaned Annette her red 450 SL (we were headed for town) for a movie back in the day.
Doreen was my favorite
Annette was my dad’s favorite. Took me years to find out why...
I met Annette at an Orchard Supply Hardware store many years ago. She was in a wheelchair. But still had that sparkle in her eyes and was very sweet. I was feeling old then. Now I’m just old but thankful that I’ve lived in an age and a country that is still good. The puny humans that are relentlessly trying to bring it down will not succeed because good people won’t let it happen as long as they have faith in the Lord.
Tell me about it (66)
What about Cubby? Is he still around?
The youngest original Mouseketeer from the mid-1950’s, Karen was my favorite because she was so cute, petite, quiet and unassuming. Most of my friends favored the heavily promoted Annette, who I viewed at the time as an unattractive motor-mouth and overrated camera hog, but was the first to sprout visible hooters.
“Now it’s time to say goodbye...” — RIP, Karen.
We had a wonderful and blessed childhood ...

Im 70. Didnt think she was older than me.
She is the namesake of my dear departed sister who died in childhood. Same hair too. My dad had to leave the room if the MM Club was on.
RIP Karen.
The kids in my neighborhood scattered like mice when the Mickey Mouse club was about to start. Being a girl ,my favorite part of the show was Spin and Marty.
