Rip Taylor, the outlandish comedian who made appearances in Wayne's World 2 and the Jacka** films died Sunday in Beverly Hills at 84.

He made a name for himself with his high-energy comedy club and television appearances, which usually featured a bevy of props.

Taylor's most famous routine involved regularly dousing his audiences with confetti; the running gag earned him the nickname 'The King of Confetti.'

Taylor was instantly recognizably with his thick handlebar mustache.

The comedian, who was known as the the King of Camp and Confetti, made inroads with wider audiences when he hosted the spoof game show The $1.98 Beauty Show from 1978–1980.

Man I hate those guys, because we had one TV in the house, and I wanted to watch The Three Stooges, but mom just had to watch Merv Griffin.

I watched and loved all three.
I only soured on the Stooges when I became an adult.

All the entertainers I grew up watching in the 1960s and 70s are now starting to kick the bucket one after the other. All the rock stars of my era will probably be gone in the coming decade as well, Paul McCartney, Ringo, the Rolling stones - except for Keith Richards of course. I doubt a lot of them will be living as long as Kirk Douglas.

He was quite a character, but for me and no offense intended classify this under: DKHWSA.
