Good point...ALSO, why do they put US - LAW abiding CITIZENS - through all that crap at airports, even when going from one ‘section’ to another when all the ‘bad guys’ have to do is show up at the border and get a ‘pass’.
I even refuse to pick up packages at the airport anymore, including lost luggage.
Don’t need all the hassle, of course there is my constant ‘traveling companion’ I have to look out for.

“Wouldn’t YOU look and feel kind of silly walking around with an empty pistol strapped to your hip?” (making a point, I am ALWAYS CC-if no metal detector etc I am armed.)
Remember after 9/11 they MADE the National Guard types patrol the airports with empty weapons?
The claim is they just wanted to have them in sight, not scare ‘normal’ people.
Sorry, now if I am the ‘bad guy’, the first one on my list is the dude walking around the area, in uniform and with a weapon...I don’t think it wise to ask him if it is loaded, one would just assume it is, otherwise, why is he there?
