Please allow me to sum up CFB, year in, year out. Perennially, there are about a half dozen teams that are superior to the others and these teams compete for the national championship. The remaining games and teams are basically non-consequential except for the most lonely among us.
You give a kid a shiny bright expensive car. He looks like he can handle it but then he is driving along a country road, gets spooked by a Gator, veers off the road and gets mired in The Swamp. Nix's 3 picks, including a costly one on the UF side of the field and in the end zone, negated Auburn's defense forcing 4 fumbles. The sequence of the game was Auburn muffed a punt, Auburn's KJ Britt blast the Gator QB, Auburn's big dude Derrick Brown picks up the ball, he rumbles down the field amazingly out running some Gator players and appears to have a clear lane for a TD, then proceeds to trip and falls at the Gator 35. Nix proceeds to throw a pick. Gators are able to take advantage of the pick and score a TD.
I turned off the Michigan State v. THE Ohio State University at halftime.
And then there was only one. How did the Grunge Dogs lose to Stanford? Oregon is the Pac 12's only hope and that hope took a hit with Auburn losing.
The Auburn QB Nix defeated Auburn. He was terrible.
Okay, all credit to the Gators for their win over Auburn yesterday. But let’s not get carried away. They still have to play Georgia and if they somehow make it to the conference championship game...
Long way to go in the season yet.
Agreed on Chip Kelly. Hes a total failure since Oregon. Scott Frost has a much bigger rebuild than Florida. They are more than two decades past dominance and in a different conference. Recruiting is a different challenge.
May? LOL! Theres no doubt about it.
