About a year ago, I bought an X-Box One-S, which my first gaming console. However I totally suck when I try to play first person shooter games on it because I played for so long on a PC with keyboard and mouse that I cannot get used to the game controller. So, I did not pick up this game when it came out for consoles, but may try it on PC.

I’m still waiting for a re-mastered Battlefield 2/2142 to be released with absolutely NO changes to gameplay, weapons etc.

EA has basically DESTROYED the franchise that i have put thousands of hours into.
But then again that is what EA does, buy and then milk game franchises till they die then put the original developers out of business.
EA SUCKS
Rockstar Games though...Still a good company as far as i know.

Pre-order?

I made that mistake ONCE and never again.
I waited in line in the cold autumn rain for midnight to arrive.
Finally i got my hands on the long awaited Battlefield 3, i even convinced my neighbor to pre-order with me as well.
We both went home and loaded it up!
What? can’t log into the server?
Sometime the next day the game finally worked and what a LET DOWN!
Compared to Battlefield 2 it was like a empty shell of a game with almost zero features compared to it’s predecessor.
what a POS that game was...put maybe 10 hours into it before i deleted it from my hard drive.
I will NEVER pre-order a game again ESPECIALLY from those shysters at EA.

It’s not an FPS, which I also can’t handle without keyboard and mouse. I remember the GTA IV PC port being a fiasco, but maybe R* does a better job now. I’ve pretty much retreated from modern games.

Same here i find it completely impossible to play first person shooters with a gamepad.
Pretty much why i didn’t bother buying a PS4.
Mouse and keyboard all the way.
I’m a lefty so even that can be a pain in the ass.
Thinking about upgrading my video card soon even though i haven’t had the time to play games that much anymore.

BF4 was just a better remake of BF3.

Yea i bought BF4 and it basically sat in my desk for over a year till all the bugs were worked out.
Turned out to be a pretty good game i put many hours into it in fact i was thinking of playing today.
I miss the enemy assets you can sneak up and destroy and commander mode though.
BF 2142 is still one of my fav games ever.
The older Battlefield games if played correctly with rightly configured squads and tactics could be an incredible game to play.
Unfortunately that usually never happens in reality unless you are a member of a serious clan and play your part.

I thought it was sort of like a FPS because you move forward and do stuff. I just can't move well with the gamepad. With my X-Box, I have a few FPS games and a couple of Assassin's Creed games. I can't move my characters well in any of them. About the only thing I play on it is Rory McIlroy Golf.

I am mainly left-handed but I use a mouse with my right hand. So moving the character with my left hand on the keyboard and my right on the mouse was ideal for me.

BF2 was just the best. I could play Kirkand for hours. Everyone says BF1 rivals it but not BFV.

After reading a ton of user reviews regarding BFV on metacritic.com i came to the conclusion that the game is not worth buying at ANY price.
Looks like EA has destroyed yet another game franchise.

I got a buddy that still plays Medal of Honor: Allied Assault...EA destroyed that franchise too.
Battlefield 2 and 2142 are still playable even though frigging EA turned the servers off.
