'LEAKED' LETTER CLAIM Meghan Markle ‘invaded her OWN privacy by leaking letter to dad at centre...

THE Duchess of Sussex may face claims she invaded her OWN privacy if her newspaper fight ends in court.

Meghan is suing The Mail on Sunday for publishing a highly personal letter she wrote to her estranged father.

But it is suggested she put it in the public domain herself by telling friends about it and giving them the nod to go public.

The pals then briefed journalists at celebrity magazine People, with one of them going into details about the letter.

And, if the Duchess is called as a witness in court, she may have to swear on oath she did not give her friends permission to discuss the letter.

Meghan, 38, and husband Harry, 35, launched their legal fight on Tuesday with a wild rant against press intrusion.

CLAIMS WILL BE FOUGHT Her lawyers filed papers claiming publishing the letter to her father, Thomas, 75, was a breach of copyright, infringed her privacy and was a breach of the Data Protection Act.

But The Mail on Sunday is fighting the case, which some royal watchers have criticised as ill-judged and ill-timed.

In court, privacy arguments could centre on the People story in February when five pals were cleared to give Meghan’s side of her fall-out with Thomas.

One refers to the letter, saying she asked him to stop victimising her through the media.

This will be an interesting legal case. UK has stricter privacy laws. I can understand William suing over the naked photo of Kate.

This one is a different story.

Markle is opening herself up to Deposition questions that she is not going to want to answer.

Reminds me of the American divorcee who married Edward (?)...What a despicable pair they were.

Imagine having the royal family’s funds for your lawsuit. It would be unlimited taxpayer money. Terribly unfair advantage.

The press strikes back. In her case, I hope they keep it up until all her secrets and shady past and present are exposed.

This...woman...appears to be nothing more than a self-serving leech.

It's been my experience with my British friends that they can be pretty forgiving of their "royalty", but in her case, few of them even view her in that manner.

Oh, well, we certainly have enough problems of our own and caring about what this bimbo does or does not do is a waste of our time.

attention - it’s her addiction. She makes it happen any way she has to, now it’s just becoming more transparent to those who chose not to see it before. Makes a mockery of herself and those around her.

They have made it a point to say this is privately funded.

The US versions of this story predictably bring up race and call the UK racist.

This is not going to go over well.

I wish the friend of Prince Charles who posts here would chime in.

There is going to be a tipping point. The palace has thrown Harry under the bus saying they weren’t consulted

I don’t believe she has the royal family’s money and support for this action. On the flip side, just imagine all the truthful but unflattering stories the press can write about Halfwit and MeAgain. I believe they have been holding back quite a bit. They seem to have outsmarted themselves, because at this point many Brits seem to want these two to go far away, but not the royal family. They have made themselves unpopular, but Prince William and his family have gotten more popular. She will take off with whatever she can get and move on to her next mark as is her life pattern. Halfwit is not going to know what hit him when she turns on him.

As I’ve said, why would the letter be done in calligraphy if she didn’t want it to be seen? Who writes a letter to a relative with all of the swirls and flourishes? She knows what she’s doing at all times, a schemer and plotter.

I haven’t kept up with the timeline or even read the letter.

Comments on DM on her stories indicate that she wanted her dad to leak it and when he didn’t she went through her friends.

I guess she is hoping there is a settlement. Surely she is not mad enough to want to be deposed.

Because Meagan is a grifter who is going to try to find ways to funnel money to herself..and she will run for office.

Wot a mess. As far I know this embarrassing American hooked Harry. Harry is the lesser player here who looks like the phantom who obeys her directives. Meghan wants a lawsuit against the UK Daily Mail and now she has it. This lawsuit costs them nothing, Charles will payout.

Something is going on with Harry. He looks to be so messed up that he had trouble walking up some steps, looked like he would pass out, and Meagain had to help him.

May be suffering from back or knee pain and on meds.

Good ol’ American victimology on display. Could this be Jussie Smollett syndrome?

This isn’t about Sparkles or her dim bulb hubby. Those two are tools. I think the presence of Wong and Latham suggests something bigger is afoot. Something’s rotten in Windsor.
