Facebook in the Washington DC area that appear to be designed to seek out and recruit Russian spies and informants, a report by CNN has revealed.
A vast number of ads have appeared on the social media site over the past few weeks, with one such sponsored post showing a stock image of a girl with her family at graduation, with Russian text overlaid which reads: 'For your future, for the future of your family.'
Other ads included a picture of a chess board with the caption, 'Time make your move', and another of a sketch of a man walking over the bridge, with the suggestive title, 'Time to draw bridges'.
When clicked, the ads direct through to a separate site on the FBI's Washing DC field office's webpage for its Counter Intelligence program, outlining the department's aim to 'protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States through the detection, identification, and neutralization of hostile foreign intelligence activities.'

They need to raise the overall quality of FBI personnel.

Russian agents will befriend them and offer then inside information (Russian disinformation) and the FBI journalists can pretend to lap it up just like real journalists do.
