General Curtis LeMay was the Air Force Chief of Staff. As commander of the Strategic Air Command during the crucial post World War II period, LeMay was key in transitioning the Air Force to all-jet inventory. Politically a hard-line Democrat, he ran as George Wallace's running mate in 1968 until Wallace's assassination attempt.

To solve the puzzle:
- Enter the letters in the top half (letter columns) of the puzzle into the white squares on the bottom half (answer grid) below
- Each letter must stay in its own column within the grid
- Each letter must be used exactly once
- Black squares represent spaces and do not get letters
- Gray squares represent punctuation marks or numbers and do not get letters
- Some words will continue from one row to another. Only spaces (black squares) or punctuation marks separate words.
