Clarkson is automotive journalism’s Don Rickles. The only thing worse than being insulted by Clarkson is not being insulted by Clarkson.
The reason all the Top Gear spin-offs are so atrocious is what they fail to comprehend about the show. It’s not a show about cars, it’s a show about Clarkson. He just hijacked the format after they hired him to host the original series. They’re the new Three Stooges. Clarkson is Moe, May is Larry and Hammond is Curly. The cars are just a pretense, it might as well be about vacuum cleaners and Clarkson would still be the star.

That's what I meant, although it was somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
To my way of thinking, parents who don't do their job are abusing their kids because the kids never learn to be responsible for themselves.
It's disheartening how often that happens these days.
