My cousin spent his entire working life on the NYPD. Growing up, the city was the best place in the world. NEVER thought he’d leave, not in a million years... Left the day after he retired, lol. Moved to NC.
And immediately registered to vote as a democrat.
He’d seen the worst the area had to offer, day in, day out.
I will be moving BEFORE I retire from the NYPD. A lot of guys move their family before they can retire and then join them afterwards. Makes a lot of sense. I hate NYC, and I used to love it.
