Once again, a single district judge has suspended application of Federal law nationwideremoving whole classes of illegal aliens from legal accountability. In 1996, Congress passed a law explicitly and unambiguously authorizing expedited removal of illegal aliens within two years of their arrival in this countrya law currently codified in 8 U.S.C. § 1225(b)(1)(A)(iii). While previous administrations severely curtailed application of this law, the Trump Administration has used this critical tool to the full extent that Congress authorized to respond to the unprecedented crisis in our immigration system and at our southern border. That tool is vital to addressing the many aliens in the United States who have no right to remain here. A single judge is now prohibiting the Government from enforcing the law as written.
For two and a half years, the Trump Administration has been trying to restore enforcement of the immigration laws passed by Congress. And for two and a half years, misguided lower court decisions have been preventing those laws from ever being enforcedat immense cost to the whole country.
Come on SCOTUS shut this crap down or you might become irrelevant.
Yes, SCOTUS needs to hold an emergency hearing.
I wonder if an executive emergency order can get around this ‘enjoining’ of the President.
Does this "single judge" have any ability to enforce his decision?

Come on President Trump. Let's hear "U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has made his decision; now let him enforce it.
How many divisions does the judge have?
Because the judge is a liberal and they invent reasons to overturn laws or create new ones.
These days, that would result in instant impeachment - and it would be sustained by the squishes in the Senate.
I understand Trump wanting to follow the law, but he should announce he will follow that judge’s order in the district he is responsible, but will not comply in other districts until ordered by the appropriate judge.
ketanji says it all. Yet another affirmative-action hire. I bet his degree is from howard u or equivalent. The supreme court should send someone to throw this guy out of his office and seize his “black robes”. Unconstitutional overreach much????
No single judge should ever have that much power. Only a panel of vetted non-partisan or equal numbers of partisan judges with a 2/3 majority should and it should come with a legal explanation before going to SCOTUS for further review.

And cases such as this demonstrate the importance of EACH and every DISTRICT COURT JUDGE, There are 673 authorized federal District Judgeships. This past week the Senate voted on and confirmed ZERO District Court nominees. The week preceding that the Senate voted on and confirmed ZERO District Court nominees. Earlier this month the Senate returned from a six week summer recess. And now theyre starting yet another recess for two weeks.
When Trump assumed office there were 86 vacant District Court judgeships. There are now 97 vacant District Court judgeships. What a difference we could see if these 97 vacancies were filled with Trump appointees. The more Trump District Judges we have, the lower the chances of important cases such as this current one being randomly assigned to Agendanista Obama hack appointees.
There are 71 of Trumps Judicial nominees pending confirmation in the Senate (of which 51 are pending in Lindsey Grahams Judiciary Committee). This is INEXCUSABLE! Graham needs to no longer allow the DemocRATS to use the Blue Slip process to stop consideration of Trumps nominees. And McConnell needs to schedule confirmation votes on nominees quickly after theyre out of the Judiciary Committee.
Sick of Judicial activist judges imposing their “limited” view on the rest of us.
