Perhaps the author realized that bureaucrats getting involved in politics is a very bad idea. When Trump wins in 2020 and brings along a group of fired up Republican congressmen and senators, the idea of cutting the budget of the department where the whistle blower works will certainly come up.

And really, there is no reason for CIA operatives to be engaged in intelligence gathering in the White House. They don't even need to be there, or have any access to deliberations or conversations happening at the White House.

After Trump's re-election it might be a good idea for many more CIA employees to be transferred to new offices so that they can be closer to sources of intelligence, or have less costly office space. Perhaps places like Mogadishu, Kabul, Paraguay, Guam, or North Dakota.

The CIA needs to be _gone_ _now_.

The costs vs the benefits ratio has just gotten too far out of whack.
