Thank you for posting this! I kept meaning to. I too have suspected the mother or someone close to the girl. Why was she in the car while her 2 lottle kids were wandering around? The dad is in Mexico so my first thoight is something to do with him...drug cartels or something. She’s lokely illegal. Things are not as they seem.
My guess:
Dulce is the victim of fetal alcohol syndrome (that’s pretty clear). She was probably difficult for an illiterate, non-english speaking, addicted mom to raise, so she was sold off to the cartel member that brought the family to the U.S. to ferry other illegals to the U.S. and get expedited release.
To answer for any questions, as to where Dulce was, mom called the police and figured it would be like a stolen hubcap report. When it wasn’t handled like that, things began to spin out of control and she clammed up.
This story gets worse by the day, but gets less and less coverage.
