Rep. Doug Collins Twitter: Democrats Broke House Rules (Vanity)

Rep. Doug CollinsVerified account @RepDougCollins  Sep 20

"When Democrats allow an outside, private consultant to question a witness this week, they broke House rules and granted those political consultants greater congressional privileges than they gave to elected representatives. Here’s why that’s a problem:"

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: democrats; dougcollins
Of course it was wrong on more than one level, but I suspect the last paragraph might be the key to why Dems wrongfully FORCED through their consultant against House rules. The Dems specifically WANTED this consultant to participate, when House staff could surely perform that role, because the consultant would NOT be held to the same ethical standards, outside income restrictions, limitations on lobbying, financial discourses and obligations of all House staff. Rules? The Dems never met a rule they wouldn't break!

The consultant was used, basically a paid for lawyer, to isolate the house members from the questions being asked.

Questioning by proxy so no one in the house can take responsibility for it. That is all it was.

What’s the penalty for breaking House rules? A promotion?

Can’t Be a real letter - it was addressed to two individuals with the word ‘Honorable’ in their titles...

The penalty -if it’s a democrap, yawn. If it’s a Republican, you are forced to resign and get death threats.

And the penalty for breaking the House rules is nothing. The Rats will take this letter and use it for a dart board while laughing. The Republicans need to figure out how to disrupt House committee hearings and actions.

I think the letter had to be written to head off continued use of this tactic going forward. In the meantime, it’s another lesson to the public that Democrats don’t “do” rules.

These Democrat Congresscritters are looking like buffoons to the country and world. It appears as though they are hiring these “consultants” to shield the critters from being embarrassed by what comes out of their own mouths! Can you imagine being in Democrat leadership just waiting for the next stupid statement to come out of one of their colleague’s mouth? The stupid is strong on the rat side of the house. We have Collins, Jordan and others who slaughter the rats in appearing reasonable and objective.

Exactly. They got to do what they wanted, letting the consultant ask questions for 30 min. So what, the letter just says if you want to continue with these consultants you have to hire them as staff. Too bad, damage is done. Dems always violate the rules and get away with it.

Remember Feinstein with holding information in the Kavanaugh interrogation circus? Yeah, GRassley didn’t do a thing when it came out what she did.

So what. Keep writing letters; that’ll show them that you mean business. Unless and until, you are willing to get down in the gutter with the baby-killing traitors, they won’t stop.

They think they can bring guns to a knife fight? WRONG! We got bigger guns and more of them.

Keep your powder dry.
