“On June 15, 1985 during the first stop in Beirut, 23-year-old Stethem of Waldorf, Maryland, was severely beaten by Hamadei and his accomplice and shot point blank in the head.”
Maryland ping
I was flying in and out of Egypt in the 80s...I remember this well. I started my personal hatred for Germans then. Many more incidents since then have just added to my feelings.
I remember when this happened. I worked with a federal agent out of Norfolk. The agent was a member of the Salvation Army and Stethem had joined only a week before he was murdered.
The Salvation Army provided his funeral.

Should have hung the hijackers and the prisoners they wanted freed.
Put him in a room with a few SEALS
Hezbollah, i.e. Iran. When the order comes through to bomb Iran - a lot of long overdue payback will finally have been delivered.
WTF Iran has never been dealt with EXCEPT to basically give them the means to produce Nukes while they murder, target, terrorize, cause widespread horror in the world especially to Americans is beyond me.
Whatever the cause of the delay, good police work on whoever was still hunting this muzzie scum. Now put him down like the dog that he is.
I served 17 straight 12-hour shift days in the Pentagon’s Intelligence Command post over this. I got a call that Friday night, to be in uniform at the Pentagon at 22:00.
Not to be a whiner, but after day five I did ask the Colonel in charge when I would get a day off.
He said, “When it’s over and the hostages are released.”
I replied, “But Sir, the Iranians kept the hostages for 444* days!”
He said, “Well, Sergeant, you better hope this one doesn’t last as long.”
I did laugh. It was cruel, but clever.
The hostages were freed two weeks later.
Still, to this day, I’ve wanted these Muslim bastards hanged. How they were forgotten about over the years used to piss me off.
Glad to hear this, but I want to see the Greeks turn him over to us so we can execute him.
*Remember when Ted Koppel used to count the days? That’s how I knew.
He was foolish to leave Lebanon for Greece.
Bttt.
