Around where I live if you have an advanced degree in biology, chemistry, or pharmacology you will have no problem finding a job with a base salary of about $190,000. If you have a liberal arts degree you can get a job as a barista or bartender.

I am not sure that is true, just looked up median salary for a Chemistry PhD is about $62K, slightly less for a Biology PhD, and around $70K for PhD Pharmacology. However, maybe you live in a really high cost of living area.

Too bad the NEA doesn’t tell you this in High School or preferably much earlier.
My HS councilor said I should become a Forest Ranger.
Designing microprocessors pays much better.
