There is no other way to say the truth about something that is exceedingly harsh and cruel to innocent blood. They are not responsible for the circumstances of their lives.
I realize that there are such hard cases, rare though they may be and no justification for the vast majority of abortions, which is why I’ve opined that in them we still need to hold somebody criminally responsible for the death of the child and in this case it should be the rapist, who by negligence or intent essentially put their child at risk even if there were no abortion. This should be an added concurring crime in most any rape/molestation.

Also, I believe in the case of false accusation the accuser should be liable for the same penalty that they accused. Same with perjury is someone knowingly lies to get a someone condemned that they know to be innocent.

It appears you have too cruel a spirit to be able to find sympathy for a young girl who was essentially raped and then rushed into having an abortion.

I have served in ministry. Have you? Have you paid a price for speaking the plain truth in love, instead of speaking a lie in the name of pseudo-love? (I lost the possibility of marriage to a woman because I refused to call abortion in the case of rape as an acceptable form of murder.)
Abortion is murder. Sin must be repented. Nota Bene: It cannot be repented if it is not acknowledged as sin!

If you actually read the Bible (do you?), you will find that Jesus was himself often “harsh” and “cruel” by your standard.

Jesus had compassion for the worldly woman at the well.
It doesn't mean we need to be compassionate to innocent young girls, but I do believe it is following in his footsteps to do so.

I so agree and it was her parents who took her there.
It’s one thing when young girls go for an abortion but when it’s the grandparents doing it? That really kills me because that is your grandbaby. Your grandbaby is your future legacy and you kill it? Why? That really boggles my mind.
There is nothing cruel about it. Nor is there any lack of sympathy. But to dodge the truth, which is a cold and hard one, does no one any good, least of all those needing to come to term with what has been done.
To dance around the issue, with the possible outcome that you’re too sensitive to their feelings to risk their disapproval of you (never mind that she is likely not in this conversation), would be unmerciful. Not just towards this girl but towards those who might read the article (who are in this thread, even if not commenting) and decide abortions can be when they never really are.
As for this woman: she revealed the matter herself. This wasn’t someone else’s doing. Moreover comments here are not necessarily directed to her and the conversation does not insofar as I know involve her. Should her asserted feelings, which you don’t really know, rule here where she is not?
I avoid a lot of the Life thread because of what seems to me to be unnecessary cruelness and unchristian behavior towards people who, like this little girl, was pushed into something she was unprepared for because it was way beyond her years.
