That reminds me.

My Fair Lady.

And Roman Holiday.

The 1959 Ben Hur with Chuck Heston was magnificent, and it was done in a time when there was no CGI.

The chariot race was as an exciting a scene ever filmed in movies, and it was all done using nothing but great stunt men and camera work. Chuck Heston was born to play the role, he was so good!

The idiots who made the 2016 disaster thought they could top a movie that had won 11 Oscars. Whose brainchild was that, LOL.

Any Hitchcock movie that hasn’t been remade yet, Sound of Music, Wizard of Oz, It Happened One Night, The Searchers, High Noon. And Mean Girls. :D

A League of Their Own, Sister Act, While You Were Sleeping, Harry Potter Saga, Enchanted. And Disney should stop with the live remakes of their animated movies.

Wasn’t the first one done in the 30’s?

I remember seeing it in 58 with Heston. They had an overture, and an intermission. There were two rows of Nuns sitting in the back. Sisters night out. Lol

Yup. Filming that play was one of the first movies ever made.

It’s not really a surprise it was either. The Lew Wallace novel was among the best selling American novels of the 19th century. Apparently quite unreadable today.

There was a film in 1907 and another in 1925.

Both great movies!

How about Sabrina with Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart and William Holden? The scene with Sabrina at the train station getting picked up by William Holden is a classic not to mention the song “Isn’t it Romantic”.

It’s a classic Hollywood romantic comedy.
