Sports is entertainment and professional sports have forgotten that their goal is to entertain their audience. By delving into politics they are driving their paying customers away. People attend and watch sports as a diversion from the tensions of their lives.
Isn’t that new league supposed to start this year? If they stay out of politics I might watch them.

Any of the above, plus a limitless variety of options other than watching a bunch of overpriced 'woke' punks slam into each other for three hours, can be imagined here.

NFL games continue to be so boring as to be nearly unwatchable, with endless ads, endless penalties, endless replays, and endless officials’ conferences, not to mention lackluster play with everyone trying to fruitlessly run between the tackles on first and often second downs, and with all but a few teams playing a not-to-lose game instead of a playing-to-win game ...

I enjoy a conundrum as much as the next guy so I still ‘insist’ that when they take a knee, ‘WE’ flood the netherworld with congratulatory messages about how they took the time to PRAY before the game.
Won’t be long before ACLU etal will be DEMANDING they stop the praying in public etc etc etc
Watching Nationals at Minnesota last night and MASN showed the National Anthem being performed (lone bugler) and ALL the participants...police, players and coaches - YES the minority and Latino and White all at attention with hat/hand over heart and those that ‘qualified’ were saluting.
Think MLB had only one instance last year of a ‘kneeler’ - a 3rd string minor leaguer in the Giants org..he got his 2 minutes and either he is gone or someone ‘convinced’ him about the error of his ways IF HE WANTED TO REMAIN EMPLOYED by MLB etal.
I would go to a Miami game if they gave out free beer and hot dogs.
