Apparently, Phoenix has no interest in playing the character in a Batman movie, and objected to the character Thomas Wayne (Bruce’s father) appearing in the movie. The director won that argument, T. Wayne is in it.
It appears DC has given up on the idea of an extended universe. Probably a good idea since they didn’t seem to be able to get it right.
The previews look good. He seemed more pathetic than evil in the one I saw.
I’ll just view it as a totally separate entity.
I don’t see the need to compare/contrast Ledger v Phoenix.
Did you see Phoenix in “The Master” ? If anyone can top Ledgers Joker, it would be Phoenix imo. It’s my kind of movie for sure. Kind of a “Taxi Driver “ for the 21st century. I wish people would calm down- it’s just a movie.
