Kids always think they know so much more than their dumb old parents. They want it because we are against it. The idea of socialism has been made “cool” to snowflakes because they don’t understand it, but dad hates it.

IMO, Higher education failed to teach them history. I am speaking specifically High School. It’s not that they are ignorant, some may be, they were just not taught the differences.

My grandchildren, 6th to 9th grades, laugh at the stupidity of it all, but their education is richly supplemented by my abundant resources.

American socialism has “worked” for the last 50 years.

- Socialism and progressivism has taken over the language and culture of nearly all education
- America’s government bureaucracy, security and surveillance apparatus has grown powerful
- the mainstream of both political parties accept it.
- Above all - Government funds the welfare state at all levels with massive spending and massive debt. Our debt bubble has yet to explode.
Therefore, its perfectly logical for the average person to believe that we are naturally evolving towards some kind of future socialist paradise, except for the view of a few of those nasty “racists,” conservatives and libertarians.

These young American’s think that Socialism is: no more student loans because school is FREE, that they can go to the doctor whenever they need to and it will be world class care and FREE, that they’ll be able to keep most of the money they make because everything is FREE, they’ll be able to live in the coolest inner city neighborhood that will be cheap and crime free because everything is FREE, that they’ll be able to attend festivals every weekend in the spring and fall and enjoy the latest craft beer at the newest micro brewery in the neighborhood because everything else is FREE, that all their energy needs will be fulfilled by the sun and wind because they are FREE.
Then they get the bill and have to move back in with their parents.

We quit teaching the dangers of Socialism and Communism after the Berlin Wall came down. We have to rising generations now who literally have no clue.
Hold on a sec! Paglia was a huge supporter of Bernie Sanders in the last primary, then Hillary Clinton, so she should take her own advice! She lived through the killing fields, the deliberate starvations of Ukraine under Stalin, the great leap/bloodbath forward under Mao, and the collapse of the Soviet Union, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. At least the ignorant snowflakes have an excuse.
