If Deleware doesn’t allow for smothering, I’d settle for whatever means of execution they do allow.

That said, I think that the day care owners likely carry some responsibility as well. The training looks to have lacked something, and one would think that a second person would be checking in every half hour or so—I bet the kid was a little out of control for at least a bit before the perp took things into her own hands.

Two criticisms; a four month old infant is not a "kid" and as such was never "in control". An infant that young can only be comforted, fed or cleaned. It cannot be controlled, because it's own self-control mechanisms are undeveloped. Poor thing was probably colicky and that requires more stoicism than most young undereducated, poorly trained "caregivers" possess.

A four month old is totally out of control by it's very nature. It can not crawl, it can not speak, it can just cry, eat, burp, and poop. It may be able to turn over and it might smile.
